Decades ago the temple of shadows began forming in my mind. First as an archetypal idea from stories in gaming. For example the “shadow temple” in Legend of Zelda, which is an extremely archetypal hero’s journey. Later as a literary idea in fiction / fantasy writing. Eventually as a psychological / philosophical idea coming from Carl Jung. After the forming of the idea, more literature on “shadow work” started coming to my attention.

Years into my journey I came across a peculiar little book called “The I Ching or Book of Changes”. Funnily enough, Carl Jung wrote the forward to the version I came across. Turns out he was quite a fan of it, and he had a friend who traveled to and lived in China, devoting a large portion of his life to bringing the book to life in the western world.

The I Ching has been a transformative book in my life. This Temple and website are devoted towards bringing more attention to that book, and helping people apply it to life. There are many books out there on “shadow work”, but if you truly want to “know thyself” few books have been as impactful and actionable as the I Ching for me.

If you, like me, have felt called to the task of deepening your understanding of self and life, I invite you to join me in that pursuit.

Within you will find information about the I Ching, articles about living life through it’s guidance, resources to help with your journey, instructions on using the book for divination, and more.

With great love and genuine excitement, I welcome and thank you for participating with us!

-Sincerely,
